The invention relates to a device for catapult launching of a carrier aircraft by use of a turbo expander. The device is provided with a turbo expander, a windlass connected with the turbo expander and a sliding cavity placed below an aircraft carrier deck, wherein a notch is formed in the top of the sliding cavity; a slider is placed in the sliding cavity and connected with a strop through the notch; the strop is connected with an airplane front-wheel draw bar; water reducing and blocking bags are arranged at the tail end of the sliding cavity; a cone is arranged at the front end of the slider; the slider is connected with one end of a wire cable, and the other end of the wire cable passes through a fixed pulley a and a fixed pulley b which are respectively arranged at the front end and the rear end and is then connected with the windlass; and the windlass is connected with the turbo expander through a coupling. According to the device, the windlass is driven to rotate at a high speed by huge kinetic energy output during acting of the turbo expander, so that the carrier aircraft is drawn to accelerate forwards, and the airplane can reach the take-off speed of about 100 m/s within a short time to successfully take off. The brake of the turbo expander is replaced with the windlass. Owing to the characteristics of high rotational speed and high power output of the turbo expander, the purpose of catapult launching of the carrier aircraft is achieved.
