The invention discloses a photovoltaic powered parachute, and relates to the engineering techniques of aviation, photovoltage, aerial delivery, aerial communication monitoring, physical exercises and the like. The photovoltaic powered parachute comprises the following split bodies: a parachute wing body (2), a riding body or a riding cabin body (4), a propelling system (5), a control system (6), a suspension-cable system (13) and the like. The photovoltaic powered parachute is characterized by further comprising buoyancy gas (1) and a photovoltaic power generation system (10), wherein the density of the buoyancy gas (1) is lower than that of air; at least one of the parachute wing body (2) and the riding body or the riding cabin body (4) comprises the buoyancy gas (1) and the photovoltaic power generation system (10). The parachute wing body (2) has dual lifting force and buoyancy force, so that the self weight and the flight energy consumption of the parachute wing body (2) are reduced; therefore, the photovoltaic powered parachute can realize flight without time limit and vertical take-off and landing by utilizing solar energy under the condition that fuel consumption is not need. Under the effect of the buoyancy force and the flexible parachute wing body (2), even though accidents, such as collision, parking and sudden weather changes, occur in air, people and a cabin cannot fall, be hurt or damaged, so that the photovoltaic powered parachute is very safe, and the construction cost is low.
