The invention discloses a follow type pneumatic braking device, comprising a braking linear motor arranged on a beam frame, a braking slide carriage positioned on the braking linear motor, a braking moving column vertically movably arranged in the braking slide carriage in a penetrating manner, a lifting drive mechanism used for driving the braking moving column to be lifted, and a clamp connected with the lower end of the braking moving column. A braking motor displacement sensor is arranged on the braking linear motor and the braking linear motor is provided with a braking mechanism. The follow type pneumatic braking device fulfills the function of moving longitudinally by following a ship model and has the advantages of being capable of resisting the impact force of braking of the ship model, quick in braking, high in clamping force and the like.
