The invention provides a braking system for vehicles. The braking system comprises a braking pedal, a first linear electromagnetic driving device, a second linear electromagnetic driving device and a braking master cylinder, wherein the first linear electromagnetic driving device is used as a pressure-boost driving device for vehicle braking, arranged in a braking passageway, and used for generating pushing force to push a piston of the braking master cylinder to move, in response to the operation of a driver to the braking pedal; the pushing force is applied onto the piston of the braking master cylinder, so that the piston moves and generates needed braking force; the second linear electromagnetic driving device is used as a braking-sense simulating mechanism for vehicle braking, arranged in the braking passageway, closer to the braking pedal, and used for generating resistant force for hindering the advance of the braking pedal, in response to the operation of the driver to the pedal; the resistant force is applied onto the braking pedal; mechanical decoupling is formed between the braking pedal and the first linear electromagnetic driving device. Through the utilization of the braking system disclosed by the invention, the reliability and the braking safety of the whole braking system can be improved, and the braking safety problems caused by the invalidation of the linear electromagnetic driving devices can be solved.
