The invention discloses an energy-saving electric vehicle. A plurality of storage batteries are arranged in a battery pack of the energy-saving electric vehicle, a control center is connected with a plurality of control units, each control unit corresponds to one storage battery, each control unit is connected with a detection unit, the detection units are used for detecting sampled storage batteries, a charge switch is connected between a rectifier and each storage battery, a discharge switch is connected between an inverter and each storage battery, a rear wheel is driven by a motor to run, the motor is connected with the inverter, a generator is charged through a front wheel, and the generator is connected with the rectifier. According to the invention, energy sources can be utilized to the utmost extent so as to achieve energy-saving and environment-friendly effects.
