The invention discloses an automatic control system used for a pedestrian traffic signal lamp box. The automatic control system comprises a signal processing circuit, a voice prompt circuit, a human body detection circuit, a conversion circuit, a control circuit and an audio adjusting circuit. The signal processing circuit is used for receiving control signals of a traffic signal lamp. The human body detection circuit is used for detecting human bodies of the position at which the lamp box is positioned so as to acquire detection signals. The conversion circuit is used for converting the detection signals into digital signals. The control circuit is used for processing the digital signals and outputting driving signals. The audio adjusting circuit is used for performing audio amplification or audio reduction according to the driving signals. The voice prompt circuit is used for audio playing after audio amplification or audio reduction. Adjustment under intelligent detection can be realized so that power consumption of the system can be saved, the voice prompt function of the system can be enhanced, voice prompting is enabled to be more intelligent, and thus the automatic control system can be conveniently used for the pedestrian traffic signal lamp.
