The invention relates to a secondary main road traffic signal lamp control system based on a GSM network. The secondary main road traffic signal lamp control system is composed of laser correlation devices respectively installed on each lane exit of a crossroad, and the secondary main road traffic signal lamp control system is used for detecting vehicle data at the lane exits, simultaneously detecting the distance between front and rear vehicles passing through the lane exits, judging the congestion condition of released vehicles, determining a traffic light timing plan in real time, and utilizing the powerful GSM network to realize communication among crossroads by sending short messages to each other.
