The invention discloses an elevator door lock bypass device and a control method thereof. The elevator door lock bypass device comprises a first processing unit, a second processing unit and a door lock bypass unit, wherein the first processing unit and the second processing unit are connected and are respectively connected with position sensors of doors of an elevator. The two ends of a door lock switch are connected with the first processing unit and the second processing unit through a first door lock high-voltage input module and a second door lock high-voltage input module respectively. The door lock bypass unit comprises a first relay. The input end of the first relay is connected with the IO port of the first processing unit, and the first processing unit controls working of the first relay. The two ends of the door lock switch are connected with a movable contact and a normally open contact of the first relay respectively. Only when the signals received by the first and second processing units are coincident can the door lock bypass unit work. By means of the two processing units, the accuracy of signal monitoring is ensured, and the reliability of the elevator door lock bypass device is improved.
