The invention provides a ground protection system and method for airplane brake. The ground protection system comprises a brake command sensor, a brake electronic control unit, left/right brake control valves, left/right main rising airplane wheel speed sensors, left/right main rising airplane wheel load sensors and an airplane inertial navigation device, wherein oil inlets of the left/right brake control valves are connected with a hydraulic source; working ports of the left/right brake control valves are connected with left/right main rising airplane wheel brake devices; the left/right main rising airplane wheel speed sensors and the left/right main rising airplane wheel load sensors are mounted on the left/right main rising airplane wheel brake devices; all the parts are electrically connected with the brake electronic control unit. According to the system and the method, the system cannot produce brake pressure when a pilot brakes mistakenly in a landing process, and a brake system is in a loose brake state; when an airplane wheel load signal fails, an airplane can be prevented from being in a brake ground protection state at a low-speed section, the airplane can use brake at the low-speed section, and the landing safety of the airplane can be improved.
