A railway crossing hanging type safety brake comprises a left support, a right support, a first motor, a second motor, a first sliding block, a second sliding block, a first traction rope, a second traction rope, a third traction rope, a fourth traction rope and a brake body. The left support and the right support are provided with a left sliding block passageway and a right sliding block passageway respectively. The first sliding block and the second sliding block are arranged in the left support and the right support respectively. The first motor is connected with the first sliding block through the first traction rope and the second traction rope, and the second motor is connected with the second sliding block through the third traction rope and the fourth traction rope. The two ends of the brake body are fixedly connected with the first sliding block and the second sliding block respectively. A traffic signal lamp and an electronic monitoring camera are installed on a front supporting plate.
