The invention relates to a sand scattering system for a tramcar and belongs to the field of rail vehicle brake system design. The sand scattering system comprises a compressor, a motor, a filter, a first check valve, a first exhausting electromagnetic valve, a pressure switch, a safety valve, an air cylinder, a pressure meter and a control unit. The motor is connected with the compressor. An air inlet of the compressor is connected with the filter. An air outlet of the compressor is sequentially connected with the first check valve and the air cylinder through pipelines. The air cylinder is connected with two sand scattering devices through pipelines. The exhausting electromagnetic valve is arranged between the compressor and the pipeline of the first check valve. The pressure switch, the safety valve and the pressure meter are connected to the air cylinder through pipelines respectively. The control unit is in control connection with the motor, the pressure switch and the exhausting electromagnetic valve. The system is short in response time and uniform in sand scattering and has the recording function; and meanwhile, the sand scattering system is applied to the two sand scattering devices, and therefore the purchasing cost of the sand scattering devices is reduced.
