The invention relates to a lightweight rear support of a cross-country command military vehicle. The rear support comprises a rear support body. The rear support body is of a hollow structure. Axle connecting holes and longitudinal beam connecting holes are distributed in the outer wall of the rear support body. A control arm connecting end is arranged at the lower end of the rear support body. The eight axle connecting holes are distributed in the periphery of a through hole and connected through two reinforcing rib plates. The number of the longitudinal beam connecting holes is six, every two longitudinal beam connecting holes serve as a set, the longitudinal beam connecting holes are distributed in the two ends and the upper end of all the axle connecting holes, all the longitudinal beam connecting holes are located in the edge of the rear support body, and an installation hole is further formed between the two longitudinal beam connecting holes located in the upper end. The control arm connecting end is of a tubular structure, and a connecting hole is formed in the upper end of the back face of the control arm connecting end. A plurality of grooves are further formed in the back face of the rear support body. The rear support has the advantages that the overall weight of the rear support is reduced to 22.2 kg from original 30.75 kg, and the weight reduction rate is 27.8%.
