The invention provides a method for monitoring a steel slag roadbed track circuit. The entire circuit is evenly disassembled into four auxiliary zones, an insulation device is mounted on the circuit for isolation, each zone is provided with a set of closed type track circuit power transmission device and power receiving device, and four comprehensive track monitoring modules are further arranged. A PLC is used for detecting the states of the four auxiliary zones, and the information of the four auxiliary zones is reported to an industrial personal computer to be processed through a monitor program after being processed. Once one auxiliary zone is occupied, it is considered that the entire external steel slag roadbed track circuit is occupied, and thus the track circuit and locomotives can be monitored synchronously. By the aid of the method, the mounting problem of track circuit zones under a leakage environment can be effectively solved, synchronized monitoring and image displaying of the occupation condition of the entire external steel slag roadbed track circuit and the operating state of the up-down locomotives are achieved, track faults are reduced, and the problem that the locomotives on a ramp operate slowly or cannot be stopped is solved.
