The invention relates to a power-off protection device and protection method after collision of an electric automobile. The power-off protection device comprises a master control unit, an electrical control switch, automobile body pressure sensors installed on an automobile body of the electric automobile and energy storage unit pressure sensors installed on an energy storage unit of the electric automobile, the electric control switch is in series connection at the high voltage output end of the inner side of a box body of the energy storage unit of the electric automobile, the control end of the electric control switch is connected with the output end of the master control unit, and the automobile body pressure sensors and the energy storage unit pressure sensors are connected with the master control unit. A power-off protection method comprises the steps that the automobile body pressure sensors and the energy storage unit pressure sensors detect pressure in real time and transmit the pressure to the master control unit, when the pressure value received by the master control unit exceeds the limit, it is judged that the collision happens to the electric automobile, the master control unit sends out a control signal to break the electric control switch, and the high voltage output of the energy storage unit of the electric automobile is switched off. By means of the power-off protection device and the protection method, hazards such as short circuit, fire and explosion after the collision happens to the electric automobile are avoided, and the safety performance is effectively improved.
