The invention provides a traction braking universal wheel, belonging to the field of accessories of mobile devices. The traction braking universal wheel comprises a universal wheel body and a braking device, wherein the universal wheel body comprises a support leg and a wheel connected to the support leg in a rotating manner; the braking device comprises a traction limiting hole formed inside the support leg and a brake pad connected to the support leg in a rotating manner; the traction limiting hole is internally provided with a second traction rope, one end of the second traction rope extends out from the upper part of the support leg, the other end of the second traction rope extends out from the lower part of the support leg and is connected with the brake pad; a part of the second traction rope, extending out from the lower part of the support leg, is sleeved by a spring, one end of the spring props against the brake pad, and the other end of the spring props against the support leg. According to the traction braking universal wheel, a structure that the brake pad is independent from the wheel is adopted, so that the brake pad does not rotate together with the wheel, time and energy taken by users for looking for the brake pad can be saved, and thus braking or braking release can be quickly and timely realized, occurrence of unnecessary danger can be effectively avoided, and defects in the prior art can be made up.
