The invention discloses a vehicle retarder braking plier of a novel structure. The vehicle retarder braking plier comprises a braking plier body. An extending arm is arranged at the front of the braking plier body, a braking track is fixed to the extending arm, an extended edge is arranged on the part, close to the lower part, of the front side of the extending arm, and the edge extends to a position below a track head of the braking track. By applying the vehicle retarder braking plier of the novel structure, the strength of the fatigue fracture position of the braking plier is greatly improved, the service life of the braking plier is guaranteed, and a retarder is guaranteed to meet the use requirement of large axle load vehicles.
