The escalator car driving device comprises a motor and a small cylindrical gear arranged on an output shaft of the motor, wherein the small cylindrical gear is connected with a large cylindrical gear arranged on a secondary rotating shaft in a meshed mode; a small conical gear is arranged on the secondary rotating shaft, and the small conical gear is connected with a large conical cylindrical gear arranged on a three-level rotating shaft in a meshed mode; the front end of the three-level rotating shaft is provided with a sun axle with a sun gear, the sun gear is connected with a planetary gear in a meshed mode, and the sun gear is connected with the planetary gear and a movable inner gear ring in a meshed mode; the planetary gear is installed on a planetary carrier through a planetary shaft, and the planetary carrier is fixed onto a left supporting base; the movable inner gear ring is connected with a steeped chain wheel, the steeped chain wheel is arranged on a steeped chain wheel hollow shaft, and the steeped chain wheel hollow shaft is arranged outside the three-level rotating shaft in a sleeving mode. Compared with the prior art, the escalator car driving device can be suitable for the use on escalators needing large power torque output at subways, bus stations and airports.
