The invention discloses a variable speed control system of an electric hoist. The variable speed control system of the electric hoist comprises a machine frame, a button housing fixed to the machine frame and provided with two vertical wall grooves, an elastic button installed in the button housing and capable of vertically moving, a connecting rod penetrating through the vertical wall grooves and a hole formed in the elastic button and capable of vertically moving in parallel, a shifting rod provided with a first end point, a first elongated hole and a second elongated hole, a sliding rail fixed to the machine frame, an optical grating strip arranged on the sliding rail, only capable of moving along the sliding rail and provided with a pin, two pairs of position sensors for detection a position signal of the optical grating strip and a controller, wherein the first end point is hinged to the machine frame, the connecting rod is sleeved in the first elongated hole, the pin is sleeved in the second elongated hole formed in the shifting rod, the elastic button is artificially operated and controlled, the connecting rod vertically moves and drives the shifting rod to rotate and drives the optical grating strip to move, and finally the motor is controlled to change rotation speed. The variable speed control system has the advantages of being convenient to control and high in control accuracy.
