The invention discloses a lift step chain protection device which is located on the upper portion of a lift step chain and is fixedly installed on a lift truss. The lift step chain protection device comprises a protection cover, an angular connecting piece, a bolt fastening piece and a guide rail support plate which is fixed to the lift truss; the protection cover is fixedly connected with the guide rail support plate through the angular connecting piece, and the protection cover is fixedly connected with the angular connecting piece through the bolt fastening piece. According to the lift step chain protection device, the protection cover is installed above a main wheel rail returning step chain, the angular connecting piece is used for being connected with the protection cover and the guide rail support plate, the whole structure is simple, the installation is convenient, due to the fact that sundries such as dust and oil-water which falls from a lift are effectively blocked by the protection cover, the wear degree of an idler wheel which is arranged on the step chain is lowered, the step chain is protected at the same time, and therefore the service life of the step chain is prolonged.
