The invention discloses a hull righting method based on ship inclining reason classification. According to the method, firstly, broken and flooded conditions are judged according to performance characteristics of ship posture floating to determine reasons causing ship inclining; secondly, according to different reasons causing ship inclining, a ship is righted correspondingly; as for ship inclining caused by negative initial stability, the ship is righted through the negative initial stability eliminating method; as for ship inclining caused by asymmetric water inflow and unclear broken and flooded conditions, the ship is righted through the exploratory distribution correction and adjustment method; as for ship inclining caused by negative initial stability and the asymmetric water inflow, the ship is righted in the mode that negative initial stability is eliminated firstly and then the exploratory distribution correction and adjustment method is carried out. According to specific conditions of a broken and flooded cabin of the ship, different ship righting methods are developed; special modeling is carried out for the righting method especially according to negative initial stability and the unclear asymmetric water inflow and the broken and flooded conditions, and safety and accuracy of sinking-resisting command of the ship are effectively improved.
