The invention provides a method and device for judgment and selection based on the geographic position information of a train. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, determining the three-dimensional data of a geographic position, initially constructing characteristic data of the three-dimensional data and inputting a data set; step 2, getting rid of irrelevant data in the input data set, through a three-dimensional model and the setting of a preset value, further getting rid of irrelevant data with a greater difference, and further processing the remaining characteristic data of the three-dimensional data; step 3, distinguishing the remaining characteristic data of the three-dimensional data into horizontal coordinates, vertical coordinates and characteristic space coordinates; and step 4, positioning the horizontal coordinates, the vertical coordinates and the characteristic space coordinates, and determining the geographic position information of the current train. The technical scheme adopted by the method lies in that the problems that subjectivity, arbitrariness and uncertainty are greater for judging and selecting the geographic position information of the train.
