The invention provides an automobile collision detection and alarm method and a device thereof, belongs to the field of vehicle alarm, and aims at solving the technical problems that accident alarm of existing vehicles is not timely and the risk of serial rear-ended vehicles of the same road segment exists after occurrence of the accident. The technical main points are that the method comprises the steps that one or multiple of an accelerometer, a gyroscope and a geomagnetic sensor is/are applied to identify occurrence of vehicle collision and degree of collision; alarm information is transmitted to a running vehicle internally equipped with a short-distance radio frequency receiving module within a certain range of the position at which the collided vehicle is positioned; the alarm information transmitted by the collided vehicle internally equipped with a short-distance radio frequency transmitting module within the certain range of the position at which the running vehicle is positioned is received; and the alarm information is transmitted to a remote platform by using a long-distance wireless network communication module. The effective alarm information is ensured to be automatically transmitted out within one second after occurrence of the accident so that drivers can be prompted to slow down and give way.
