The invention relates to an automobile mass center side slip angle measurement device. Aiming at an existing defect existing in research for an automobile mass center side slip angle, an automobile mass center side slip angle measurement device is brought forward. The automobile mass center side slip angle measurement device comprises a left rear vehicle wheel vertical load sensor, a mass center sensing unit, a calculation unit, a right rear vehicle wheel vertical load sensor, a vehicle speed sensor, a left front vehicle wheel vertical load sensor and a right front vehicle wheel vertical load sensor. The invention further relates to an automobile mass center side slip angle calculation method. Through usage of the automobile mass center side slip angle measurement device and the automobile mass center side slip angle calculation method, according to vertical loads of vehicle wheels, a transverse swinging angle speed of an automobile and a front wheel steering angle, a mass center side slip angle while driving of the automobile is calculated. Mastery of the automobile mass center side slip angle is very important for active safety control of a vehicle dynamic stability control system, a rollover prevention system and the like.
