The invention relates to a counterweight-adjustable elevator. The counterweight-adjustable elevator comprises a car and a counterweight. A first cavity is formed in the bottom of the car, a second cavity is formed in the bottom of the counterweight, the first cavity and the second cavity are hermetically connected by an oil pipe and filled with same fluid, a first piston is arranged in the first cavity, a second piston is arranged in the second cavity, and an adjusting device is arranged on a bottom plate on the lower portion of the car and comprises a weighing device, a control cabinet and a driving device which acts on the first piston. The counterweight-adjustable elevator has the advantages that after the mass of the elevator car is changed, the control cabinet can control the driving device to adjust mass change of the counterweight according to information fed back by the weighing device; when the mass of the car is equal to that of the counterweight, the driving device stops working, so that the purpose that the counterweight balances the car mass is achieved, and requirements of a traction machine on driving force are lowered.
