The invention discloses a reverse car-searching positioning method and system. The method comprises the steps that: aiming at any parking lot, the region in the parking lot is divided into M sub-regions by respectively arranging one wireless signal acquisition device on M different positions; when any car x enters the parking lot and passes one sub-region, the wireless signal acquisition device in the sub-region collects a wireless signal of a wireless terminal carried by the car x to know information that the car x passes the sub-region of the wireless signal acquisition device itself and further reports the above information to a management center; the management center obtains the moving track of the car x in a chronological order according to the received reported information and the position information of the reporting wireless signal acquisition device, and determines the parking place of the car x; and when receiving a searching request aiming at the car x, the management center informs the parking place of the car x to a searching person by means of a preset mode. By adopting the scheme provided by the invention, the car searching efficiency is improved.
