The invention discloses a navigation method based on a vehicle self-organizing network. The method takes as a plurality of specific vehicles and roadside repeaters as transmission nodes to construct the vehicle self-organizing network, and utilizes the corresponding specific vehicle or the roadside repeater on a specific area section between a starting point and an end destination to obtain the average vehicle speed of the vehicles on the specific area section under current traffic condition; the average vehicle speed on the plurality of specific area sections are collected by using the vehicle self-organizing network to work out a path with minimal time consumption in the plurality of paths connecting the starting point with the end destination; navigation from the starting point to the end destination is performed based on the path with the minimal time consumption. The navigation method provided by the invention selects the driving path with the minimal time consumption based on the actual traffic conditions to navigate, so that the final navigation service effect is greatly improved.
