The invention relates to an aloft arm changing method of a movable arm tower crane. The method comprises the following steps that a lifting arm is pulled and bonded on a top frame A of the tower crane from the middle through two temporary pull arm steel wire ropes, the weight of the lifting arm is borne by the temporary pull arm steel wire ropes, a neighbored tower crane is utilized for dismounting one section or two sections of the lifting arm from the end of the lifting arm, the corresponding lifting arm is lengthened or shortened at the ground or the floor, and then the tower crane is wholly mounted on the aloft lifting arm again, so that the lifting arm of the tower crane is lengthened or shortened. The two temporary pull arm steel wire ropes are used, and one ends of the ropes are connected with an upper chord member in the middle of the lifting arm, and the other ends of the ropes are connected with the top frame A of the tower crane; the lifting arm is pulled and bonded on the top frame A of the tower crane, and all weight of the lifting arm is borne by the two temporary pull arm steel wire ropes; and the neighbored tower crane is utilized for lengthening or shortening the lifting arm. The tower crane lifting amr is used for achieving changes of different lengths, and the construction site needs can be met. The method has the advantages of being simple and safe in working procedure operation, low in labor intensity, short in construction period and the like.
