The invention provides a method and system for estimating future average power consumption of an electric automobile. Historical average power consumption is calculated and is used for estimating the future average power consumption, so that timely and accurate future average power consumption information is provided for a driver. The invention further provides a method and system for estimating the remaining driving range of the electric automobile. The remaining driving range of the electric automobile is acquired according to acquired remaining capacity and the electric automobile future average power consumption which is obtained through the method and system for estimating the future average power consumption of the electric automobile. Accordingly, the timely and accurate information of the future average power consumption and the remaining driving range can be given to the driver, and the driver can plan routes and choose the charging time conveniently. The acquired remaining driving range of the electric automobile is subjected to saturation processing and one-order inertia filtering processing, so that the circumstance of high-low mutation does not occur to the finally-obtained value of the remaining driving range of the electric automobile, and the remaining driving range under the current situation is truly reflected.
