The remote control method for the vehicle-mounted air conditioner includes the steps that S1, the approach speed V at which a driver approaches a vehicle parking position is determined; S2, the distance S between the position of the driver and the vehicle parking position at the current moment t is determined; S3, an estimated arrival moment t1 when the driver arrives at the vehicle parking position is predicted, wherein t1=t+S/V; S4, the operation duration T, needed for adjusting in-vehicle temperature to set target in-vehicle temperature, of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is determined; S5, the starting moment t2 of the vehicle-mounted air conditioner is determined, wherein t2=t1-T; S6, a remote control instruction is sent out to make the vehicle-mounted air conditioner be started at the starting moment t2. As the moment of arriving at the vehicle is predicted more accurately by determining the approach speed V and the distance S between the position of the driver and the vehicle parking position, the vehicle-mounted air conditioner can be started remotely at the optimized moment, and energy utilization can be maximized.
