The invention discloses rubber for wear-resistant tread of a tire. The rubber is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 40-60 parts of natural rubber, 10-30 parts of nitrile rubber, 2-5 parts of oxidized paraffin, 5-10 parts of polyethylene short fibers, 10-20 parts of nano silica and 2-5 parts of sulfur. The natural rubber disclosed by the invention has high rebound resilience and plasticity, the nitrile rubber has high abrasive resistance and heat resistance, the natural rubber and the nitrile rubber are matched to serve as the main components of the tire, and the usability of the tire is guaranteed. According to the addition of the polyethylene short fibers, the tire has high puncture resistance, the added oxidized paraffin serves as a sun-screening agent, the aging resistance of the tire is improved, the silica is nanoscale silica so that the tire has the good wet road holding performance.
