The invention discloses a manual and electric push rod which comprises a lead screw, a lead screw nut and an inner pipe. The axis of the lead screw nut coincides with the axis of the inner pipe, the lead screw nut and the inner pipe are fixedly connected in the axial direction, and the lead screw nut can rotate relative to the axis of the inner pipe. Blocking portions are arranged at the two ends of the lead screw nut, and blocking pieces with the structure matched with the blocking portions are arranged at the positions, close to the two ends, of the lead screw. After the lead screw rotates to drive the lead screw nut to move in the axial direction of the lead screw till the blocking piece at any end of the lead screw is in contact with the corresponding blocking portion, under the condition that the lead screw continues to rotate, the lead screw nut is fixed relative to the lead screw, and the lead screw nut rotates relative to the inner pipe around the axis of the inner pipe. The push rod is simple in structure and convenient to use, the manual state and the electric state can be conveniently switched at any time, especially in the manual state, and stroke control over the push rod is achieved through separable connection of the lead screw nut and the inner pipe and the blocking pieces on the lead screw.
