The invention provides a motor torque control method of a vehicle. The method comprises the following steps of detecting the vehicle speed and vehicle distance of the vehicle under a normal running condition; obtaining a limit value of the output torque of a motor according to the vehicle speed and vehicle distance, wherein the higher the vehicle speed is and the smaller the vehicle distance is, the smaller the limit value of the output torque of the motor is; obtaining the analytic torque of the vehicle under the normal running condition; comparing the analytic torque with the limit value of the output torque of the motor; and if the analytic torque is greater than the limit value of the output torque of the motor, controlling a drive motor of the vehicle to drive the vehicle by taking the limit value of the output torque of the motor as the output torque of the motor, and if the analytic torque is not greater than the limit value of the output torque of the motor, controlling the drive motor to drive the vehicle by taking the analytic torque as the output torque of the motor. By applying the method, the output torque of the motor can be adjusted according to the vehicle speed and vehicle distance, the safe distance between vehicles is guaranteed, and therefore the safety of the vehicle is enhanced. The invention also provides a motor torque control system of the vehicle.
