The present invention discloses a wheel rim manufacturing method comprising the following steps: extruding an aluminum profile at high strength to form a profile with a first bulge part and a second bulge part; coiling the profile into a hollow cylindrical cylinder; welding cylinder seams formed by coiling the profile by stirring and rubbing; flanging two ends of the cylinder to form wheel edges which extend outwards and overturn inwards; and machining the cylinder and forming bead seats on the cylinder to obtain wheel rims. The wheel rim manufacturing method disclosed by the present invention is simple in machining processes, so that the wheel rim manufacturing time is shortened; in comparison with wheel rims produced by the conventional manufacturing process, the wheel rims manufactured by the method have the advantages that accuracy and mechanical performance of the wheel rim material are greatly improved, and the wheel rims different in width are more accurately and conveniently manufactured. The wheel rim manufacturing method is free of any casting and forging die.
