The invention relates to a protecting shell for an elevator PLC (programmable logic controller) device. The protecting shell comprises a shell body (10), and the opening of the shell body (10) is downwards; the opening is provided with an outer turning edge (101), and the positive face of the shell body (10) is provided with a visible acrylic plate (102), a sound alarm (106) and a data exchange port cover plate (107); the top part of the shell body (10) is embedded with a magnetic card sensing device (103), a strip-shaped flash lamp (104) and a level gauge sensor (109); the side face of the shell body (10) is provided with a strip-shaped radiating hole (105) and a signal emitting antenna (108). The protecting shell is simple in structure and convenient to use; the shell body covers on the PLC device, the cover shell or the data exchange port cover plate can be safely opened only when a person with the magnetic card contacts the magnetic card sensing device by the magnetic card, so as to prevent the PLC device of the elevator from being damaged and destroyed; and thereby, the normal operation of the elevator is guaranteed.
