The invention relates to a dynamic coupling device and a dynamic coupling method for a single planet gear system of a hybrid electric vehicle, wherein the dynamic coupling device comprises an engine, a motor and a planet gear system consisting of a solar wheel, a planet carrier, a gear ring and a planet gear, wherein the engine and the planet carrier are connected through a first clutch, and the engine and the solar wheel are connected through a second clutch; the motor is connected with the solar wheel; a first brake is arranged on the planet carrier, and a second brake is arranged on the gear ring; the gear ring is connected with an outer transmission mechanism through a power output gear for transmitting power to a vehicle drive wheel. The dynamic coupling device has the characteristics of being compact in structure, and simple and easy to control, not only can realize different working modes to adapt to complex and varied travelling working conditions, but also can improve fuel oil characteristics and power performance of the vehicle.
