The invention relates to an express way vehicle overspeed detection method based on a vibration wave Doppler signal. The express way vehicle overspeed detection method is characterized by including fixing a vibration wave detection unit sensor on a roadbed of an express way, and connecting the vibration wave detection unit sensor with a processing unit electrically; when a vehicle travels on the express way, acquiring a vibration wave signal generated by the road surface through the vibration wave detection unit sensor, providing the vibration wave signal for the processing unit electrically connected with the vibration wave detection unit sensor, filtering and analyzing the vibration wave signal by the processing unit, extracting frequency signals, with the same frequency feature, in a vibration wave, acquiring the vibration wave Doppler signal with the same frequency feature, calculating the driving speed of the vehicle on the express way according to frequency shift of the vibration wave Doppler signal, determining whether overspeed driving exists or not according to the speed, and tracking vibration wave information generated by the vehicle in case of overspeed driving.
