The invention relates to an automatic ocean observation device which comprises a main frame connected with a group of floating balls, wherein a power supply, a solar cell panel, an electric control box and a positioning instrument connected with one another are connected to the main frame respectively; a winch and a motor connected with each other are arranged on the main frame; an upper limiting switch and a lower limiting switch are connected to the main frame; a cable winds and is connected to the winch; an upper limiting switch baffle and a lower instrument rack are connected to the cable in sequence; the upper limiting switch baffle is correspondingly matched with the upper limiting switch and the lower limiting switch in a blocking manner; a direct and reversed observation instrument is connected into the lower instrument rack; an ocean current instrument bracket equipped with a current measurement instrument is connected to the main frame; a balance ball is connected to the bottom of the main frame through a fixing cable and connected with a water gathering controller; the water gathering controller is connected with water gathering bottles. The automatic ocean observation device has the advantages of simple structure, low cost, convenience in use, low labor intensity and capability of carrying the instrument for automatically obtaining ocean elements, and obtained data is relatively ideal.
