The invention relates to a method for adjusting an engine economic rotating speed area automatically on an instrument. The method comprises the steps that 1 when a vehicle is electrified, an engine ECU sends the name of a manufacturer of the engine, the engine type and power number information to a CAN bus through CI message information, the message information on the CAN bus is received by a BCU, a current value of the engine economic speed area corresponding to the name of the manufacturer of the engine, the engine type and the power number information is inquired in a storage through the CI message information, and an LED lamp installed rear a scale value in a rotating speed area corresponding to the engine economic rotating speed area on an engine revolution meter is controlled to be lightened. The engine economic rotating speed area of the vehicle model can be acquired by a driver through the instrument, so that the vehicle speed is facilitated to be kept in the economic rotating speed area to the greatest extent when the driver drives the car, and the fuel consumption is lowered effectively; module production can be achieved; the method is suitable for multiple vehicle models and can be used in a matching mode when the vehicle is assembled.
