The invention relates to a vector water jet propulsion type amphibious device and a working method thereof. Vector water jet propulsion devices are arranged in driving wheels, and comprise propeller type spokes, steering devices and wheel carriers, wherein the propeller type spokes, the steering devices and the wheel carriers are sequentially arranged in the wheels in a water flow direction; the wheels are coaxially arranged on power shafts; the propeller type spokes are coaxially arranged on the power shafts; the power shafts penetrate through the wheel carriers to freely rotate; the steering devices are arranged on the wheel carriers; a large amount of water is forcibly pushed to the axial directions of the wheels under pushing action on the water generated by the rotation of the propeller type spokes, the direction of water flow passes through the steering devices, and the water flow is jetted backwards to generate reacting force on the wheel carriers. When a vehicle with the propulsion devices is used in a shallow place, rotating propellers are positioned in the wheels, and the vehicle can automatically move forwards in a rolling manner by virtue of the wheels at the bottom of a shallower river without influence on the propeller wheels.
