A rear wheel of an electric vehicle comprises a brake disc, a left motor casing, a dust cover and a stator support. The rear wheel of the electric vehicle is characterized in that the brake disc, the left motor casing, the dust cover and the stator support define a confined space which is of an annular structure; the brake disc is of an annular structure; a brake wedge is arranged on the inner side of the annular structure of the brake disc; the stator support is of a tubular structure; friction wedges are arranged on the outer side of the stator support; the brake wedge and the friction wedges are positioned in the confined space. The rear wheel of the electric vehicle has the beneficial effects that a driver can apply the brake with either brake component so as to prevent danger. The phenomenon of decrease of friction force due to entering of water is avoided, so that the safety coefficient is increased.
