The invention provides an energy-saving exterior mirror heating method. The method comprises three heating stages. At the first stage, heating is finished according to the heating time and the driving voltage of a first duty ratio, wherein the heating time and the first duty ratio are obtained through calculation. At the second heating stage, heating is finished according to the driving voltage of a second duty ratio and preset heating time, wherein the second duty ratio is obtained through calculation. At the third heating stage, a third duty ratio obtained through calculation and a preset fourth duty ratio are compared and judged, and whether heating is finished based on the driving voltage of the third duty ratio and another preset heating time or based on the driving voltage of the fourth duty ratio and another preset heating time according to the judgment result. According to the energy-saving exterior mirror heating method, heating of an exterior mirror is adjusted in good time according to the exterior environment and the change of related factors, so that more energy can be saved during heating of the exterior mirror, and heating of the exterior mirror can be more environmentally friendly and intelligent.
