The object of the invention is to install an easily operated anti-theft function on a pull rod type parking brake. The implementation manner comprises pulling up the brake handle after braking, and dialing a password disk on the inner side of the brake handle; therefore, the brake handle is in a locked status; before driving the car, dialing the password disk to the set password, pressing a button to unlock, releasing the brake handle, and then starting driving. When pulling the brake handle, the acceleration control wire is pulled at the same time, thus the engine is in an idle status. The brake handle cannot be released without the password, neither the acceleration pedal can be operated, thus the car cannot be driven. When this function does not need to be used, the brake handle can be released by directly pressing the button before driving, without dialing the password disk. The acceleration control wire is separated from the clutch by pressing the button after pulling up the brake handle, thus the acceleration pedal is out of the control of the brake handle. A manually shifted car can be started on a slope with the parking brake by pulling up the brake handle, pressing the button, and pedaling the acceleration pedal. When the password needs to be changed, dialing the password disk to the original password, pushing a password adjusting button forward to the bottom, dialing the password disk, then a new password can be set.
