An engine is started and a clutch (CL) is engaged in accordance with an EV-HEV mode switch request (t2). Engine rotation is input to a transmission when the starting of the engine is completed (t3), thus enabling the calculation of an actual transmission ratio (Ip). When the actual transmission ratio (Ip) differs from a target transmission ratio (tIp), a lack of drive power corresponding to a transmission ratio deviation (ThetaIp) between the transmission ratios is caused relative to a request, causing the driver to feel a sense of discomfort. A motor torque (Tm) is corrected by being increased by a motor torque correction amount (Theta Tm) required for eliminating the lack of drive power, or an engine torque (Te) is corrected by being increased by an engine torque correction amount (Theta Te) required for eliminating the lack of drive power. In this way, the lack of drive power due to the transmission ratio deviation (Theta Ip) and the driver's sense of discomfort can be eliminated.
