The invention discloses an electromagnetic variable-frequency lifting gear which comprises an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve. The inner sleeve is capable of being sleeved with the outer sleeve in a manner of vertical reciprocating sliding, one end of the outer sleeve is enclosed while the other end penetrates hermetically from the inner sleeve, the inner cavity of the outer sleeve is filled with magnetorheological media, at least one damping piston is arranged at the sleeve section, close to the inner end portion, of the inner sleeve, a magnet exciting coil is arranged on the outer periphery of the outer sleeve, and a magnetic force line of the magnet exciting coil longitudinally penetrates the inner cavity of the outer sleeve. The lifted telescopic sleeves are fixed through the magnetorheological principle, all degree of freedom of the sleeve section, located in the outer sleeve, of the inner sleeve can be limited by the magnetorheological media under the action of the magnet exciting coil, the sleeves are good in strength and stability after being lifted, and defects of instability and low strength caused by mechanical clearance due to prolonged service circle are overcome. The electromagnetic variable-frequency lifting gear has the advantages of stable lifting, low noise, high reliability and long service life; extension elongation of the inner sleeve does not need to be considered during use, fixation can be performed anytime, and flexible and easiness in use are achieved.
