A propelling plant for ships mainly comprises a handle bar, a push plate, a power supply, a motor, a switch, an impeller, a silica gel sleeve and a holding rod, wherein the holding rod is disposed at one end of the handle bar, the holding rod is vertical to the handle bar, the central art of the holding bar is connected with the handle bar, a layer of silica gel sleeve sleeves the outer wall of the handle bar, the push plate is disposed at the other end of the handle bar, one end of the push plate is connected with the handle bar, the push plate and the handle bar are on the same plane, a sandwich layer is disposed inside the push plate, the power supply is disposed in the sandwich layer, the motor is disposed on the outer surface of the push plate, the rotary shaft direction of the motor faces the outside of the push plate, the rotary shaft of the motor is vertical to the plane of the push plate, the impeller is fixed on the rotary shaft of the motor through a central fixing hole, the switch is disposed on the handle bar, and the switch, the power supply and the motor are serially connected through wires. The propelling plant is simple in structure, convenient to use, time saving and labor saving, low in manufacturing cost, money saving and energy saving.
