The invention provides a method for automatically adjusting a seat for drivers, and is applicable to a seat for drivers. The seat for the drivers comprises a capacitive sensor, a controller and a servo motor. The capacitive sensor is arranged on a ceiling above the seat for the drivers. The method includes steps of measuring electric fields of human bodies by the aid of the capacitive sensor and outputting corresponding electric field distribution signals according to distribution of water contents of the human bodies; amplifying power of the electric field distribution signals by the aid of an operational amplifier; converting the electric field distribution signals in analog forms into digital signals by the aid of an A/D (analog/digital) converter; receiving the electric field distribution signals in digital forms by the aid of the controller, computing the distances from the tops of the heads of the drivers to the ceiling according to the electric field distribution signals and outputting seat adjusting signals; receiving the seat adjusting signals by the aid of the servo motor and adjusting the height and the front-back position of the seat. The seat adjusting signals are outputted by the controller.
