This invention relates to a hydrostatic hybrid drive device (H) for a hybrid drive train (A) of a vehicle with a drive motor (AM) and a consumer (V). The hydrostatic hybrid drive device includes only one hydrostatic displacement machine (1). A delivery line (2) is connected to an outlet-side delivery side (F) and leads to a high pressure accumulator device (3). The hydrostatic displacement machine (1) delivers exclusively into the high pressure accumulator device during pump-type operation. A shutoff valve (5) is located in the delivery line (2), and a branch line (6) branches off from the delivery line (2). An intake line (8) is connected to an inlet-side intake side (S). A shutoff valve (9) is arranged in the intake line (8). A discharge line (10) from the high pressure accumulator device is connected to the intake line (8). A valve device (15) actuates the discharge line and the branch line. The valve device, when the hydrostatic displacement machine is operated as a pump, shuts off the discharge line and the branch line and, when the hydrostatic displacement machine is operated as a motor, actuates the discharge line and the branch line into the open position.
