The invention relates to an Internet of things application technology and a vehicle collision warning technology. The invention discloses an expressway vehicle rear-end collision warning system based on the Internet of things. The system has the advantages of convenient use and low cost. According to the technical scheme of the invention, the system comprises a vehicle-mounted terminal used for data processing, a collision sensor used for detecting vehicle collision, an OBD detection module used for detecting a vehicle fault, a GPS module used for vehicle positioning, a ZigBee module used for communication between vehicles, and an Internet-of-things communication module used for network communication. The collision sensor is connected with the vehicle-mounted terminal, and transmits a collision signal to the vehicle-mounted terminal. The OBD detection module is connected with the vehicle-mounted terminal, and transmits a vehicle fault stop signal to the vehicle-mounted terminal. The GPS module is connected with the vehicle-mounted terminal, and transmits a vehicle position signal to the vehicle-mounted terminal. The vehicle-mounted terminal is connected with the ZigBee module, and wirelessly communicates with other vehicles through the ZigBee module. The vehicle-mounted terminal is connected with the Internet-of-things communication module to carry out network communication.
