The invention provides a high-precision lane information extracting method based on low-precision GPS track data. The high-precision lane information extracting method based on low-precision GPS track data comprises the steps that the road section to which data belong to is obtained through data clustering, segments are obtained through segment treatment, and optimization is conducted; the GPS track distribution width is detected, and a basis classifier for judging the number of lanes is established according to the number of lanes in a sample segment and the GPS track distribution width detection result corresponding to each sub-segment in the sample segment, so that the candidate value of the number of the lanes in each sub-segment of the segment to be detected is obtained; the number of the lanes in each sub-segment of the segment to be detected and the center lines of the lanes in each sub-segment of the segment to be detected are determined based on a restrictive Gaussian hybrid model; the GPS track on the road section is traced, and finally, the steering information of each lane is determined. According to the high-precision lane information extracting method based on low-precision GPS track data, cost for obtaining lane information is reduced, and the detecting method is simple and easy to implement.
