The invention relates to an operation device for walking up and down stairs, and belongs to the technical field of loading appliances. A stair step double-screw auger operation device comprises a chassis (6) combination, a spiral auger (1) combination and a driving device. The spiral auger (1) combination consists of left-handed and right-handed double-spiral augers (1); wheel shafts (5) are arranged at the two sides of the outer edge of spiral blades (3); and spiral blade wheels (4) are mounted to achieve an effect of supporting the spiral blades (3). The thread pitches of the spiral augers (1) are equal to the distances of each floor of stair steps; and auger shafts (2) rotate to drive the spiral blades (3) to rotate from one step to another step under the support of the spiral blade wheels (4) so as to form vertical operation of the stair step double-screw auger operation device on the stair steps. A device for bearing humans or objects is mounted on a bearing surface of the chassis (6) to conveniently convey the humans or objects to walk up and down stairs stably, so that the operation is simple, and the convenience is brought to people.
